My mom thought it was the funniest thing seeing me in this skirt.

It's not that she thought it was ugly, but she laughed knowing that she must've had one of these when she was my age. I'm sure if she was just amused at the fact that fashion is constantly cycling in and out of style through out the years.

The day I had these pictures taken, it was so windy I could barely keep my composure. While I wanted to show off, what I'd consider as the best thing about this skirt, the wind simply did not allow me to do so. I felt like "Dorothy" stuck inside a twister. At first I was worried that the skirt would engulf the lower half of my body (#shortpeopleproblems), but I actually love how voluminous it looks on me. In addition, the floral cherry blossom print is just too whimsical to resist.

If you read my Spring Summer 2015 Fashion Trend picks, I am definitely obsessed with crop tops. Wearing crop top with a classic piece, like this full skirt, makes an outfit more contemporary. I don't always follow this rule: but it's important to balance out wearing a crop top with a piece that covers up more of your lower half.
